I make music to listen
—to myself, to others, and to the hidden echoes that shape our lives. With the harp as my anchor and silence as my teacher, I weave live and ever-changing tapestries of voice, percussion, loops and FX that create soundscapes moving between fragility and fire.
My muse is a restless one, dancing between what some call folk, art rock, jazz, ambient, and experimental pop. She doesn’t care so much, however, about breaking genre as she does about dissolving borders. Onstage, I aim to honor that and create a space that feels like stepping into a dream: a place where melody and rhythm bend like light through water, and where sound becomes an echo-mirror for what it means to be human.
Each performance is its own kind of sanctuary. I show up not to present something perfect, but to be present—to connect, to listen, to offer songs as invitations to pause, breathe, and find yourself reflected in the music.

Short Bio:
Elizabeth Owens (she/they) is a harpist/multi-instrumentalist and songwriter whose music feels like stepping into a dream—one where folk and classical roots twist into tendrils of art rock, jazz, Latin, and experimental pop. Performing with harp, percussion, and a voice as gentle as it is unflinching, their music isn’t about breaking genres—it’s about dissolving borders, guiding listeners into a space where sound becomes a mirror for what it means to be human.
Long Bio:
(Eli)zabeth Owens is an avant-garde music producer, harpist, multimedia artist and educator based in Richmond, VA. After graduating college with dual degrees in Photo/Film and Psychology in 2015, they rekindled their passion for music and has devoted the last several years to crafting spiritual experiences through the alchemy of music, experimental video and interactive digital art.
In 2019, Eli was gifted a small 22-string Celtic harp. With their experience in piano, guitar, and voice they were able to teach themselves how to play and from the moment that first chord spilled out, Elizabeth was under it's spell.
Combined with their love of experimental time-based media and background in atmospheric sound design, Owens’ multi-instrumental, mutli-media approach is a genre bending, communal, contemplative experience. Through their vulnerability and expression, the stage becomes a shared practice space inviting the audience to participate in the deep listening, feeling, and expressing the art calls for.
Influences include Holly Herndon, Kate Bush, FKA Twigs, Bjork, Joanna Newsom, and Caroline Polacheck.
