Long Bio:
(Eli)zabeth Owens is an avant-garde music producer, harpist, multimedia artist and educator based in Richmond, VA. After graduating college with dual degrees in Photo/Film and Psychology in 2015, they rekindled their passion for music and has devoted the last several years to crafting spiritual experiences through the alchemy of music, experimental video and interactive digital art.
In 2019, Eli was gifted a small 22-string Celtic harp. With their experience in piano, guitar, and voice they were able to teach themselves how to play and from the moment that first chord spilled out, Elizabeth was under it's spell.
Combined with their love of experimental time-based media and background in atmospheric sound design, Owensโ multi-instrumental, mutli-media approach is a genre bending, communal, contemplative experience. Through their vulnerability and expression, the stage becomes a shared practice space inviting the audience to participate in the deep listening, feeling, and expressing the art calls for.
Influences include Holly Herndon, Kate Bush, FKA Twigs, Bjork, Joanna Newsom, and Caroline Polacheck.
